Ruby

Ruby is most valuable variety of corundum (aluminium oxide), whose color varies from fiery vermilion to violet red, and can carry different colors in the same stone depending on the light. It is very lustrous. Rubies may have inclusions in form of rutile needles. Ruby is the birthstone for the month of July.
