Tanzanite

Tanzanite is also known as blue zoisite, discovered in Tanzania in 1967. Tanzanite shows either purple, blue or slate gray color, depending on the angle it as viewed from and the light. Few inclusions. Limited quantities, almost exclusively from Tanzania. Tanzanite is the birthstone for the month of December.
