Tiger's Eye

Tiger’s Eye is a member of the quartz family. It is known as a “chatoyant gemstone”, which means that it is visually reflective. This reflective property is due to its fibrous structure. Most Tiger’s Eye comes from South Africa. Tiger’s Eye typically has lustrous alternating yellow or brown bands, but may also range to blue and red in hue (the latter shade brought about through gentle heat treatment). It is said that Tiger’s Eye offers protection during travel, & strengthens convictions and confidence. This very warm stone is beneficial for the weak and sick.
