Turquoise

Turquoise was one of the first gemstones to be mined, and has long been prized for its intense color, which ranges from sky blue to green, depending on the quantities of iron and copper within it. Turquoise often contains narrow veins of other material or patches of whitish foreign materials. It is very fragile and may contain infusions of waxes to maintain its appearance. In healing it is associated with the throat chakra.
